It’s really hard for me to look at yarn and imagine it as a finished object, especially when it’s one of the ones I consider a fancy yarn. Such was the case when I stared at the purple Lion Brand Homespun yarn in my stash. I eventually settled on making a cowl from it, following Lady by the Bay’s Cozy Ribbed Scarf pattern.
Homespun is such a finicky yarn to work with. I remember attempting to crochet with it, and it was awful; it just kept getting split and caught. The entire time I was knitting with it, I was afraid the ribbing wouldn’t stand out because of the texture of the yarn. It turned out pretty well and cozy though so it was worth it.
